Lodging
Coastal Fins and Feathers operate a lodge that we believe rivals any on the Texas Gulf Coast. Our lodge is located right on the shores of beautiful Matagorda Bay with coastal duck hunting and fishing at your doorstep. Sleeping accommodations for 20 people, 3 full baths and a fully equipped kitchen provide a comfortable place for our guests to relax before and after their hunts. It is family friendly and has activities for all age groups and genders. Dads can bring the wife and kids and we can entertain them while you are on the trip of a lifetime. Moms can bring your husband and kids and we will keep them entertained while you are relaxing on the beach, taking an island tour, photographing shore birds, and many other activities. Kids under the age of fifteen stay free when accompanied by three adults. Just pay a twenty dollar destination fee.*

Duck and Dove Hunting
With Pintails, Redheads, Gadwall, Teal, Widgeons, Buffleheads, Mourning Dove, and Whitewing Dove, our wingshooting is second to none! Our guides are professional and are eager to put you on your limit. Using airboats, Coastal Fins and Feathers is able to get you back into areas that are otherwise inaccessible to most hunters. Afternoon wade fishing for trout and redfish is at your doorstep as well. Or if fishing is not your game you can enjoy lunch while our picker processes your birds.

Coastal Fins and Feathers
At Coastal Fins and Feathers, there is no walking to the blinds;
You will be carried to the blind on a Truck, ATV, or Airboat.

We encounter a wide variety of ducks from Gadwall, Pintail, Widgeon, Shoveler and large numbers of Teal to an assortment of divers including Bluebills, Ringnecks and Matagorda Bays famed massive flocks of RedHeads. Not to mention our one of a kind native Mottled Duck.

Hunting the Texas bays and marshes of the Gulf Coast offers some of the finest duck hunting found anywhere in the world. These bays, lagoons, and lakes are known as the Redhead capital of the world. If you want Redheads, then this is the place for you. This venue holds over eighty percent of the world's Redhead population each winter.

Inshore and Offshore Fishing
In addition, Coastal Fins and Feathers offers Bay Fishing for Trout, Redfish, and Flounder as well as Offshore Fishing for Snapper, Grouper, Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel and many other species. When fishing the Matagorda Bay system, we have a wide variety of saltwater bay fishing possibilities with our main focus being on catching trout, redfish, and flounder.

At Coastal Fins and Feathers, no party is too big or to small, private or corporate, Multi-boat parties can be arranged for larger groups.

All guides and transportation staff are U.S. Coast Guard liscenced.

We offer youth discounts and encourage all our customers to bring their children. Being a father myself, it is important that we share these wonderful experiences with our youth.

You will need to furnish:
Gun and ammo for the shooting range by shooting targets7 (lead shot only)
Camo Clothing / Hip boots or Waders

Bring Your Own Dog on hunts:
We provide retrievers for our hunts, but you are more than welcome to bring along your own dog.

Wingshooting:
$175.00 P.P.P.D. Hunt only (Groups of three or less add $20.00 P.P. destination fee)
$250.00 P.P.P.D. Hunt and meals (Group of three or less add $20.00 P.P. destination fee)
$325.00 P.P.P.D. Hunt, Meals and Lodging (There is no destination fee if staying at the lodge.
Kids under the age of fifteen hunt free when accompanied by three hunting adults.


Fishing:
$550.00 Half day trout and redfish trip for up to four
$650.00 Half day jetty trip for up to six
$1195.00 Plus fuel expense for Full Day Offshore trip

Lodging:
$150.00 Per night / all meals included

We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure a date.
